At least 31 cases of theft were reported in the federal capital, which included citizens being deprived of 18 valuable mobile phones, seven motorcycles, cash in US dollars worth Rs4.3 million and another swipe of Rs5.5 million. In one of the major cases, Khurram Satti reported to the Lohi Bhir police that three unknown armed robbers took his family hostage and looted a combined amount of cash in domestic and foreign currency that was worth Rs5.5 million. He said that the robbers ransacked the entire house and took away all the valuables including jewellery.
