MrBeast hires Alec Baldwin’s lawyer to counter fraud claims

MrBeast, the popular YouTuber whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, has taken legal action against a former employee who accused him of being a "fraud" and a "sociopath" in online videos.  The ex-employee, identified as Dawson French, used aliases to claim that MrBeast rigged his large cash giveaways and knowingly employed a sex offender. MrBeast has not publicly responded to these accusations, but his attorney, Alex Spiro, has sent a cease-and-desist letter to French. The letter, obtained by DailyMail.com, accuses French of spreading misinformation and false statements and threatens legal action if the defamatory content continues. French has stood by his allegations, stating in an email to DailyMail.com that MrBeast kept "rapists and pedophiles on payroll." This controversy comes on the heels of other issues for MrBeast, including a former collaborator being accused of explicit online chats with a minor and criticisms of his new game show, "Beast Games." Spiro, a high-profile attorney known for representing celebrities like Elon Musk and Alec Baldwin, is conducting an internal audit of MrBeast's operations. The audit aims to determine whether these issues reflect a toxic workplace environment or the challenges of a rapidly growing business. MrBeast's empire currently boasts 309 million YouTube viewers and 103 million TikTok followers.
